The Black Watch and the Band of the Scots Guard come together

This Saturday, Feb. 3, University at Buffalo's Center for the Arts will be hosting The Pipes & Drums of the Black Watch 3rd Battalion (Royal Highland Regiment of Scotland) and the Band of the Scots Guards at 8:00 p.m. The legendary performance will celebrate music from Scotland, England, Ireland, and Wales.

With over 370 years of military prestige, the Black Watch is considered the "most well-known and celebrated bagpipe band in the world." According to the Center for the Arts' website, "Along with the renowned musicians of the Band of the Scots Guards, this joint dance and concert experience will present a unique blend of music, pageantry and history highlighted by traditional folk music and military tunes that convey the rich legacy of the British Isles."

Tickets are $29.50 for adults and $21.50 for students and children. Tickets for students or children must be purchased at the box office, while tickets for adults are available at tickets.com. The box office is available from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as one hour before the show starts. The event is sponsored by Fox Run, located in Orchard Park.
