The official “Call of Duty’ Twitter account announced today that the “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” double experience weekend is now live on all systems. Players will get twice the experience in the game’s multiplayer mode from now until Monday morning, giving fans an entire weekend to rank up in “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.”

The event only effects base experience and doesn’t provide double weapon experience. With the “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” multiplayer being free this weekend on Steam, there will be many new players who will need to take advantage of the double experience in order to catch up to the rest of the game’s community. Furthermore, the Revolution DLC is releasing for the Playstation 3 for the first time next week so fans may want to level up before returning to the game due to the add-on.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” is out now on the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, and Nintendo’s Wii U. All platforms are receiving a double XP event this weekend for the popular first-person shooter.
