The Black Eyed Peas hit the First Coast's plate


The best-selling pop/urban music group in the world lands at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena tonight. 

Emerging from humble hip-hop roots,,, Taboo, and Fergie are known to millions around the world as The Black Eyed Peas.

Based in Los Angeles, the multi-platinum selling band picked up three Grammy Awards this year, including Best Pop Vocal Album for The E.N.D. (The Energy Never Dies), edging out fellow nominees The Fray, Kelly Clarkson, Colbie Caillat, and Pink.

According to their official website, the Peas' 2009-2010 tour makes stops around the world, hitting places like Boston, New York, Chicago, Paris, and Milan.

Opening for The Black Eyed Peas is LMFAO, a Grammy-nominated electronic/pop group with ties to Motown mogul, Berry Gordy.  LMFAO entered millions of homes nationwide by providing the theme song to the recent reality-television hit, Jersey Shore

The latest addition to the tour is rapper turned actor, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges. Ludacris is known for a long list of solo hip-hop hits and collaborations with artists like Lil' Jon and Jamie Foxx.  A three-time Grammy winner, Ludacris is currently enjoying chart success with his hit single, "How Low".  Showtime is 7:30 pm.
