On Tuesday night’s episode of “The Biggest Loser” most of “The Biggest Loser” contestants were still reeling over the fact that Coach Mo was eliminated last week and Tracey stayed. However, the contestants did not have much time to think about it as they were faced with a challenge in the beginning of the episode, black verses blue team for plane tickets to go home for a week.
“The Biggest Loser” contestants competed in a challenge in which they had to dig up a large box which was buried in the sand and retrieve a key from it. In a twist, host Alison Sweeney did not tell the contestants what they were competing for until the blue team won and used their keys from the boxes to open another box containing plane tickets to go home for a week.
The blue team was faced with the decision to stay at “The Biggest Loser” campus and reap the benefits or send the black team home for the week where they would be left to their own devices. The blue team did the unthinkable and gave their plane tickets up and sent the black team home.
At home the black team realized very quickly how difficult and tempting life was outside of “The Biggest Loser” campus. Dina seemingly had the most difficulty as her family went out to dinner and her husband did not have much regard for her new lifestyle, clearing his plate of food. Dina stated to him, “Why don't you just stop and get a doggie bag.” However, fans could not put a price tag on Dina’s sons face as he saw his mother running on the treadmill as he stated, “I never knew she could run as fast as she was running. ... I believe she can do anything."
Danny chose to prepare all of his meals at home and stay away from dinning out, even getting his daughter involved with grilling veggies. Danny also seemingly had an epiphany at home about his marriage and stated, “She married a champion, but I didn't give her that champion."
Abby, Daniel and Shay received warm welcomes from their families and friends, but Abby struggled with being confined to the swimming pool due to her injury and Shay struggled with going out to dinner with her husband and her step-children as they ordered the same fatty food they used to, before she left for “The Biggest Loser” campus.
Back at “The Biggest Loser” campus trainer Bob pushed the blue team hard from the start and did not let up all week. When the black team returned the blue team was very curious about their experience at home, however there was no time for talk as the black team had to get their last chance work-out in with Jillian.
During the last chance work-out Jillian could tell something was going on with Daniel and he broke down in tears and stated he finally realized he was eating to defy his mother who was always trying to get him to loss weight and he now feels guilty about the way he has treated her in the past.
At the weigh in the blue team didn’t put up many big numbers until Rudy got onto the scale and lost 14 pounds, which gave them a total of 35 combined pounds lost. The black team had to lose and average of 7 pounds a piece to keep safe from elimination, however in another shocker Daniel gained 1 pound and an impressive number came from Danny as he lost 15 pounds at home.
Everyone in the black team was in danger of going home except for Danny as he lost the most weight and in the end the black team decided to eliminate Dina.
