The Biggest Loser Season 14 Episode 1 Recap

Tonight launches the return of the Biggest Loser: Challenge America. As the show opens, host Alison Sweeney introduces America to the teenage ambassadors of change. The three teenagers will work one-on-one with the trainers as well as at home (mostly at home).

The three teens, Lindsay Bravo, Noah "Bingo" Gray and Sanjana "Sunny" Chandrasekhar will be subjected to a different approach to the Biggest Loser. Instead of being subjected to weigh-ins and eliminations as well as weight loss itself, these three will solely focus on getting healthier and learning better habits with the intentions of inspiring other youths across America to change their habits as well.

At the gym, the "mother of all person trainers" Jillian Michaels brings the pain as only she knows how. Short fused and not willing to hear the excuses, Jillian pushes her team to breaking points so bad that three have already fallen out at the gym! Will the three contestants be able to get it together to stay on campus another week or will either one of them simply give up and turn their backs on the Biggest Loser campus?

At the first challenge, the teenagers as well as their corresponding teams, workout together. Host Ali Sweeney explains that the challenge winners will receive a 5 pound advantage. The three teens will be hanging over a ball pit and giving them directions to where the letters are in that pit. The first team to get all their letters and spell out the Biggest Loser wins the 5 pound advantage.

[Alison gave the teens a few workout tools as well as an Ipad to take home, so that they can focus on their goal as well as communicate with the trainers.]

Because the white team (Jillian's team) felt that they blew it at their first workout, their goal was to win the first challenge and they manage to squeeze out the win; however, one of the team members decided to quit the show before they even got started. Nikki from Jillian's team quit the show, deciding to workout at home and seek help from a therapist instead of continuing on at campus. Whether or not she will succeed is solely up to her and how far she is willing to go.

At the weigh in, Pam informs the contestants that there will not be a yellow line, there will only be a red line and whoever falls below that line will instantly be sent home. The white team was first up to be weighed in and losing a combined total of 69 pounds and 5.61% of total weight loss. Danni loss 19 pounds all on her own which is a huge accomplishment. Way to go white team!

The red team was the next to be weighed in and lost a total of 95 pounds with a total percentage of 6.59% weight loss. The white team is still in danger of losing the weigh in and having to send a player home that wanted to be there in the first place.

Last up was the blue team who needed to lose more than 91 pounds to be safe from elimination. With one player left to weigh in, the team was at a 79 pound loss and needed to lose another 13 pounds in order to ensure their teams safety. Gina pulled it off losing 15 pounds and making sure her team survived another week which meant to White Team had to send a member home which knocked their numbers down from 5 to 3 in one episode alone.

The player who was sent home was TC and it is understood why he was so upset since he deserved to be there. TC managed to have a breakthrough, which is more than most can say in a lifetime. When TC started his journey, he weighed in at 376 pounds; his current weigh is 320 pounds. He managed to lose a total of 56 pounds and plans on continuing his journey for his family and himself.
