Tonight’s Biggest Loser starts with host Alison Sweeney informing the contestants that they are no longer on teams, but now individuals once again. The excuse of I cannot do this on my own was a heavy reminder on the contestants of the lives they lived before they arrived on Ranch.
Several contestants seemed content and knew it was coming sooner or later, while others seem to be struggling with the same demons they had before arriving on campus.
At their challenge, Alison informs the contestants that they are playing a variation of the “white elephant” game. All contestants are to be positioned in the middle of an ice rink attached to a ring. They will each pull away from that ring at the same time in order to reach their rope. The first person to hit the buzzer will win the prize of their choosing, but they get final pick whereas the last contestant picks first.
No matter who picks what when, if someone placed above them, that contestant get to choose whether they will keep the prize they won, or take someone else’s below them. In the end, although Jeremy placed first, he took the goldfish his sister had and gave her the shopping spree with a celebrity and she got to pick a friend to come along with her.
Emily still struggles with her confidence and veteran trainer Bob Harper pushes her until she finally gets it through her head that she can have the success she desires and she can do all the things her counterparts can do, she just needed some Bob styled “kick-in-the-ass.”
Celebrity trainer Dolvett Quince takes Kimmy to rock climbing wall to help her get over her fear of heights. At first she seemed to be doing well but at the halfway point, her old fears crept back on her. She managed, with the help of Dolvett, to conquer her fear of heights and make it to the top of that wall. Congratulations Kimmy, keep up the great work!
[Singer and fashionista Jessica Simpson made an appearance tonight as she was the surprise celebrity stylist of the evening, treating Conda and Kim to a makeover.]
At the scales, things were looking up for all of the contestants but two, Kimmy and Emily. Emily needed to lose more than 5 pounds in order to stay above the yellow line and she managed to only lose 5. In the end, Mark decided to send home Emily to finish her journey. Since starting her journey on campus, Emily has lost 90 pounds going from 264 to 174 pounds.
Emily has a passionate dream of becoming a singer. Former contestant and Biggest Loser winner Olivia reached out to her and has paired her up with her vocal coach to see what needs to be done.
[FYI: The girl has pipes!]
Emily hopes to win the at home prize and use the winnings to move to New York.
