Tonight’s Biggest Loser starts with the Black Team awaiting the arrival of the Red Team’s verdict from the elimination room. Chicago’s own Daphne awaited news of whether or not her brother was sent home while Christine was wondering whether or not her husband Roy would be walking through those doors or not.
Not surprisingly, Adrian did not walk through those doors and Conda made excuses/deflected to topic altogether, which infuriated Daphne more. Tempers flared and Daphne and Conda finally had it out.
Veteran trainer Bob Harper worked Daphne out at a Planet Fitness in Chicago this week making sure to keep the focus on what happened last week to her brother Adrian. Both knew she has more to prove and more to lose than the rest of her team and he wanted to make sure that she loses the most weight to not only prove to her team that she’s a valuable asset, but that she deserves to be there.
While in Michigan, celebrity trainer Dolvett Quince worked Conda to the bone making sure that she stays focused on this week’s challenge and sheds those pounds to make her the “hero” of the Red Team. As hard as Dolvett pushed, it seemed as if Conda still was struggling.
So who will win this battle of wills and who will end up failing on the scales sending their teams into elimination?
At their first challenge, minus one team member, host Alison Sweeney, takes the teams to the beach. Both teams will be fighting for letters from home. The Biggest Loser teamed up with the United States Postal Service to raise awareness through their heart health stamps. Not only will they win the letters from home, but they will also win a 1 pound advantage for their at-home counterpart.

At first it seemed the Red Team was pulling ahead, but the Black Team was nipping at their heels and began to pull ahead. In the end, the winning team was the Red Team won and the Black Team’s spirits were understandably low.
At their last chance workout at home, Dolvett took Conda back to school for her last chance workout. Conda worked out with a female varsity basketball. In Chicago, Bob took Daphne to the Willis Tower; the tallest building in the western hemisphere, for her last chance workout and the goal was to make it up to the 103rd floor in less than 1 hour. Will Daphne be able to make it up the stairs in under an hour? The answer was yes and with a little help from her Black Team to boot; while Daphne was making her climb, Bob read the Black Team’s letters to Daphne which not only motivated her to keep moving, but also made Daphne feel loved and supported while at home.
At the weigh in, both Daphne and Conda found out that not only did the Red Team win a one pound advantage to help Conda on the scales, but they both found out that their team could also give them an extra pound advantage at the scales if they manage to win their individual weigh in.
Chism and Cassandra both made their individual goals and the Red Team had made their own goals as well. The on campus Black Team total ended up being a total of 33 pounds down which meant the Red Team had to drop 27 pounds combined. Will they manage a 2 pounds advantage for Conda or will both Conda and Daphne have an even playing field to work with? Not only did they manage to make the 27 pound mark, but they shattered it and ended up securing a two pound advantage for Conda making the odds against Daphne stacked against her.
Daphne’s previous weight was 236 pounds and she managed to lose 12 pounds this week under Bob’s iron fist. Conda’s previous weight was 255 pounds and she managed to lose 10 pounds. Even with the 2 pound advantage, Conda could not win the weigh in for her team, but Daphne proved that she did not need help at all and managed to secure the victory for her team at the scales.
In eliminations, the Red Team was unanimous in their voting and decided that it was time for Roy to finish his journey of weight loss at home. Since arriving at the Biggest Loser campus, Roy has managed to lose a total of 76 pounds, going from 306 pounds to 230 pounds; not only does Santa have a brand new bag, but he also has a brand new, fit body to boot!
Roy is mentoring kids at his local boy and girls club in his hometown of Middlebury, Indiana and wants to create an outdoor mentoring camp for kids.
