People watch "The Biggest Loser" for entertainment, but they also see results thanks in part to the work of trainer Jillian Michaels. Therefore, it's not too surprising that people are starting to file lawsuits against the weight-loss guru after proclaiming that her "maximum strength calorie control" supplement doesn't work -- meaning that they expected to lose weight just by popping two pills a day before eating.
A lawsuit filed on Thursday states that Michaels' product constitutes false advertising, making it the second filing in just as many days. Jillian issued a swift reply to the first allegation Thursday night:
"My reputation and credibility are of the utmost importance to me...This baseless lawsuit is entirely without merit and is being handled by my legal team...I stand behind all my products and remain committed to helping people achieve their health and wellness goals."
Jillian has a number of other products out there for fitness -- including a video game for the Nintendo Wii. People must realize, though, that this supplement has not been evaluated by the FDA.
The makers of the product had this to say in a statement:
"The lawsuit will be handled in the courts like all other lawsuits, and we are confident we will prevail. In the meantime, thousands upon thousands of men and women around the United States are using Jillian's Maximum Strength Calorie Control. To anyone questioning the product’s effectiveness, we suggest you try it for yourself."

Not at all. So many brands go thru this. She has helped millions of people build a better life, we've all seen it. It's sad that we live in a world where people want to benefit from others without doing their part.
I think it goes to show how greedy anyone can get. She's a sell out and everyone knows it. She's deserves to be called out. I think it's sad we live in a world where a consumers are taken advantage of by someone they trust.

I love this quote... What, do the makers think about this lawsuit, that it is an advertising opportunity?? Are we that pathetic as a society that a lawsuit for a shoddy product is another chance for them to sell it to us?!? Do they really think that Thousands trying their product is a good thing, a reason for use to try it?!?!
What people need to realize is that they have to do the work, ie exercise and eat right, in order for those supplements to work. These people obviously thought they could pop a pill and magically lose the weight. I stand behind Jillian and the products she endorses. I am using the protein shake now and I can tell that it is helping. There is no magic cure for weight loss. Get off your butt and move it to lose it! These are meant to supplement your weight loss.
Marcus, it really annoys me how someone can call someone else a sellout without knowing the person personally. The problem is not her, it is the many people in this world that want things handed to them on a silver platter. Our society has become obsessed with celebrities and money. Some of them with do anything for just a few minutes of the fame and a whole lot of the money.
Sounds like some lazy fat asses want easy money. Seriously people need to learn that no product works without diet and excercise. And if your stupid enough to think otherwise maybe you should commit suicide.
Many people want an easy out. Blame their weight problems on other people. If they read the box the pills came in it says that you need to exercice and have a diet too. Hello people READ!!!
