The season nine "The Biggest Loser" contestants went to work and pulled 33,000 pound semi trucks this week on episode eight.

 Fit it in

This week, the contestants got a glimpse in to what life will be like after the ranch when they were given full-time jobs for the week. Everyone was pretty nervous about how they were going to make eating right and working out enough fit in to a day that already has over eight hours taken up by work.

I don't know if the workouts were tougher this week, but the contestants were definitely putting a lot more pressure on themselves to make it work. It was like they were trying to fit eight hours of working out in to two hours.

The upside of the contestants' job was that they were working with a Los Angeles Food Bank. Some of the jobs were more strenuous and exercise-like than others, but the contestants were all happy to be doing work that mattered and was making a difference.

Fitting exercise in to their day seemed to be the easiest change for the group. It was eating right all the time that some people, mainly Sam, had trouble with. One day, he forgot to bring his lunch with him. Unlike the rest of America, Sam couldn't just go to the vending machine and grab some chips. He was about to just go hungry when Stephanie remembered seeing a Subway around the corner.

Pull harder, faster

For the episode eight challenge, the contestants had to pull a semi truck. It looked like an impossible job, but the teams did get their trucks moving. Actually, the blue team made it look really easy. Along the way, one person from each team (Cheryl and O'Neal) had to stop and pick up puzzle pieces to be used at the finish line.

The black team kept gaining on the blue team when it came time to picking up puzzle pieces, but when the blue team would start to move again, it was all over. They were the entire truck length ahead of the black team when the trucks were moving.

The blue team's reward for winning the truck/puzzle challenge was groceries for one year.
