With everyone talking about the glitz and glamour of the next generation consoles most are taking aim at benefits that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 bring. Whether it's more powerful processing, RAM, or better graphics, most gamers are excited to get in on the action. However, in an upcoming exclusive interview with Bethesda Softworks Vice President, Pete Hines, the developer said that the ability to push games to the next level isn't even the best part of this fall's consoles.
"I think the biggest benefit or pro at least this time around, are the consoles are fairly similar to one another from an architecture standpoint."
But what does that even mean? Hines continued to elaborate, "So there’s not as big of a translation from how it works on this console versus another one, like it may have been in previous generations." Developers will be saving vital time at every corner, allowing them to get the game you want in your hands, in your hands sooner. And that's good news for everyone.
