In its inaugural event, FoodStart Ohio is collaborating with Women's Small Business Accelerator and Franklin University on The Big Pitch, an innovative culinary contest for local food entrepreneurs. Small-scale food producers, food trucks, and local restaurants will compete to win business mentoring and seed money to launch their businesses.
- The food tasting and voting will be on Saturday, June 21 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Your votes for local food producers will be used along with their business plans to select the top three in each category.
- The Pitch Party will be on Saturday, June 28 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The finalists will present to local food experts, who will judge the contestants on the quality of their food, their vision for their company, and their business plan.
Tickets for both events are available here. Columbus food entrepreneurs can apply to be a contestant here. Both events will be held in the Ross Auditorium at Franklin University, 301 East Rich Street in Columbus.
