On this week's episode of "The Big Bang Theory," we find the gang separated into their own subgroups with their own specific story lines.
Thanks to a clause in their contract with the University, Leonard, Sheldon, and Howard are required to serve on a committee. Leonard suggests they attempt to persuade seventh grade girls to pursue a degree in Science. Given their track record with women in general, viewers knew the guys would have trouble connecting with the students. After scaring the girls with the threat of radiation sickness (Sheldon,) being compared to a flight attendant (Howard,) and sinking into a mini-confessional (Leonard) they finally realize the message might have been more effective if given from the female prospective. Amy and Bernadette are placed on conference call and encourage the girls to consider Science.
Amy, Bernadette, and Penny, meanwhile, ditch work and go to Disneyland. Amy's excited at having the chance to play hooky for the first time in her life. They agree to go get makeovers to become princesses when they enter the park. They all wear the look home with them. Penny and Bernadette's men are appreciative. Sheldon, not surprisingly, doesn't respond to Amy's Snow White makeover.
Last but not least, Raj and Lucy go out on a quiet first date. Raj has been racking his brain on how to come up with the "killer" date - even going so far as to join in on "Girls night" and ask Penny, Bernadette, and Amy what to do. He finally decides to have his first date in the library since he is unable to speak with girls if he hasn't had a drink and Lucy suffers from a severe case of social anxiety and can't be around too many people. They text back and forth until Lucy's battery begins to die at the end of the date. She bravely decides to try to kiss Raj but has a panic attack and flees. All in all, he thinks, the date went well.
