On last week's episode of "The Big Bang Theory" Penny asked for Leonard's hand in marriage during a drunken, emotional tailspin, however, Leonard didn't jump to say yes. On Jan. 4 Carter Matt shares that Penny and Leonard may be in a better spot than the show led on to believe.
On this Thursday's episode, Penny will have quit her job at the Cheesecake Factory and spending her time leisurely reading magazine while collecting unemployment. She will be spending time with Leonard, which proves that they are doing fine despite Leonard not accepting Penny's proposal. The real question is, will Penny hold it against him that he didn't accept, or will she be able to see that a marriage proposal during a drunken emotional breakdown was likely not the best move?
At one point, Leonard wanted nothing more than for Penny to marry him, and that is likely still the case, but will Leonard be able to help Penny deal with her issues of not realizing her dream of becoming an actress and not finishing college or will Leonard's smarts push Penny farther away from him and back to Nebraska?
Do you think that Penny and Leonard will end up getting engaged? Will you be watching this Thursday to find out?
