'The Bible': The History Channel's 'Satan' looks a lot like Barack Obama (Video)

The History Channel aired another episode of its popular mini-series, "The Bible" Sunday night, March 17, and the actor who portrayed "Satan" bore an uncanny resemblance to President Barack Obama. According to a March 17 article on MSNBC.com, the actor’s named is Mehdi Ouzaani, and he is a highly acclaimed Moroccan actor.

The History Channel and the Executive Producers of “The Bible,” Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, have all denied any truth to the accusation that they purposely cast Satan to look like President Barack Obama. Mark Burnett called it “utter nonsense.” Roma Downey referred to President Barack Obama as a “fellow Christian.”

Apparently Mehdi Ouzaani has previously played in Biblical epics and has actually played Satanic roles before. Oddly, President Obama recently joked about his opponents demonizing him, according to MSNBC:

“Is there something I could do to make some of these guys—the House Republican caucus—not paint horns on my head?”

Across Twitter, some people are tweeting about the coincidence as if it were purposeful. One of the first to notice the resemblance between President Barack Obama and “Satan” was radio personality Glenn Beck. A screenshot of his tweet is shown to the left with the photograph that he posted.

Many have mentioned a previous artistic depiction of President Obama as the Messiah being crucified. You can read about that controversial art display here.
