The Bible Receives High Ratings

The Bible is a popular mini series on the History Channel. It was produced by a husband and wife actress Roma Downey and reality show producer Mark Burnett. The Bible spans 66 books from Genesis to Revelation showing unforgettable stories through live action.

The premiere of the The Bible was seen by 13.1 million viewers on its first night and scored a 3.3 rating among adults 18-49. It had more viewers than any other show on major broadcast networks on Sunday night. The Bible has been cable's most watched entertainment telecast this year.

"We could not be more thrilled with this out of the gate success," said Downey and Burnett in a statement. "The world is watching right now and we are humbled by the reaction to the series. This number one series is a tribute to all those who have helped spread the Word. Ultimately, The Bible will be seen and felt by billions around the globe. Today, more people are discussing God's chosen people -Moses-and-Abraham in one day than ever before."

The Bible will conclude on Easter Sunday March 31st and it will focus on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. The mini series has reached over 70 million viewers because its a way for people to learn about the Bible.
