According to Yahoo.com 13.1 million people have already watched the first episode of The Bible. However, although this mini-series began on March 3, 2013 you have another opportunity to view that first episode. It will air again tonight Wednesday, March 06, 2013 on the History channel. South Florida, AT&T U-Verse, subscribers can view it on channel 256 at 9pm. Check your local listing.
The Bible is a five week, two hours each week, mini-series premiering on the History Channel produced by Emmy Award winning husband and wife team, Mark Burnett and Roma Downey. If her name sounds familiar remember the popular television series, “Touched by an Angel”. Downey came up with the idea for the mini-series a few years ago and has brought it to viewers during the Lent season.
Following tonight’s replay, for two hours on Sunday nights until the final episode on Easter Sunday viewers will see Bible stories that span from Genesis to Revelation; well known stories such as Noah’s Ark, the Exodus, and Daniel in the Lions’ Den. On Easter Sunday the featured story will be the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
To help insure the accuracy of this docudrama, which was filmed in Morocco, Christian scholars served as advisors and hundreds of Christian leaders have given their endorsement, such as Outreach Magazine.
