The Bible is the only book that stands the test of time

When I say the Bible is the only Book that stands the test of time, it is because it is the only book that is God's book. He gave it by inspiration (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The words of Scripture are God's words to man. But what does "inspiration of God" mean? It is that God spoke into the hearts of His people what to write down. So the the words of the scriptures (the Bible) are not the words of those men. They are God's own words, written down by the people He chose. "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost" (2 Peter 1:21). God the Holy Ghost perfectly guided holy men to write down His Words. He spoke to them face to face. He wrote to them with His own finger. Other times He gave a revelation directly into His servant's mind. God's words are pure and perfect. There is nothing we can add to make them more true or better. Actually God warns us not to add to or take away from His holy words (Revelation 22:18-19). We know that books that are written by man for man are always being changed. Men either add to or take away from these books. The problem with these books is that they are not preserved.

God promised to preserve His words. "The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever" (Psalm 12:6-7). God promised to preserve His words for ever and ever, without one single error or one missing word or letter. And God always keeps His promises God's words are very important to Him. He preserved His words in 66 books that make up the Bible. The 39 books of the Old Testament gives us examples and warnings and points us to hope in God. The 27 books of the New Testament were written to bring us to trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, who is God manifest in flesh (I Timothy 3:16). The Son of God (John 3:16),(I John 5:9-13).

All other books have a copyright except one book that was authorized by a king in 1611. It is God' words preserved in the English language called the King James Authorized Version 1611.God's words are not copyrighted only man's which show that they are not from God. A King James Bible that has a copyright on it is because it has a man's commentary or footnotes in it. Beware of these because its man's opinion added to your Bible. Actually God warns us to "Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ" (Colossians 2:8),

We do have God's Holy Word (KJV) today! It is perfect and without error!

"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statues of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring forever. The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweater also than honey and the honeycomb" (Psalm 19: 7-10).
