The Bible History Channel videos, full-episode replays, DVD, TV schedule buzz

The first episode of The History Channel's "The Bible" 10-hour mini-series has reportedly not only drawn 13.1 million viewers, says USA Today, but this reporter's own Google Analytics statistics are showing a vested interested in all things related to the series from folks wanting to watch more.

I was blessed to watch the first full episode titled "Beginnings" on Sunday night on The History Channel, and imagine my delight and surprise on Monday night at 8 p.m. ET -- just as my husband was bemoaning the "sucky" Monday night line-up -- when we found out that Lifetime was replaying the first full premiere episode again.

Not only is it a ratings boon for The History Channel, Amazon.com has now provided an April 2nd, 2013, release date to The Bible: The Epic Miniseries DVD, a 4-disc version whose pre-order sales are already brisk.

Where can you watch full episode videos of "The Bible" online?

The History Channel has certain video snippets on their website, but as of this writing no full entire episodes appeared. There is a full access video login for DirecTV and xFinity customers, presumably offering full episodes through those providers:

The History Channel also details the upcoming replays of the first "Beginnings" premiere episode quite nicely:

Upcoming Airings:

  • March 06, 2013 - 09:00-11:02PM
  • March 07, 2013 - 01:01-03:03AM
  • March 10, 2013 - 06:00-08:00PM

The next episode, titled "Homeland," is set to premiere on March 10, 2012 at 8:00 ET, with additional replays on these dates:

Upcoming Airings:

  • March 11, 2013 - 12:01-02:01AM
  • March 13, 2013 - 09:00-11:02PM
  • March 14, 2013 - 01:01-03:03AM
  • March 17, 2013 - 06:00-08:00PM

God bless The History Channel for laying out their episode TV schedule replay list pretty easily:

Lifetime TV, however, makes it a bit more difficult to uncover their replays of "The Bible" miniseries. I had to do my old "The Bible" site:www.mylifetime.com in Google search to uncover some information about replays, but even then, it took an exhaustive search through my own DirecTV schedule to find out that Lifetime will replay "The Bible" at the following times and dates:

Monday, March 11, 2013 - "Beginnings" at 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. ET

Monday, March 11, 2013 - "Homeland" at 8 p.m. - 10 p.m. ET

Tuesday, March 12, 2013 - "Homeland" at 12:02 a.m. - 2:02 a.m. ET

Monday, March 18, 2013 - "Beginnings" at 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. ET

Monday, March 18, 2013 - "Homeland" at 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. ET

Hopefully Lifetime will soon update their TV schedule accordingly:

As far as any videos of the series on Lifetime's website, a Google search for "Bible" site:www.mylifetime.com/video turned up nothing, as did a search on their video page:

Therefore, if you want to catch "the story everyone knows, told like never before," as the official Facebook page calls the show whilst enjoying 357,000+ fans, we could do the old YouTube search once more, being sure to steer clear of all those proliferating the video-sharing site with enticements to click off onto unknown websites.
