'The Bible' getting ready for week two on the History Channel (Photos)

One superlative episode of The Bible has already aired last week on the History Channel and this Sunday, March 10th, the sage continues. Unlike the great Ten Commandments depicted by director Cecil B. DeMille, The Greatest Story Ever Told directed by George Stevens or The Passion of the Christ directed by Mel Gibson; the latest rendition of “The Bible” is an updated version of the actual occurrences recorded in the Word of God from the beginning of time until the end.

For the next four Sundays, The Bible will air on The History Channel (Comcast Ch. 192, Direct TV Ch. 269 and U-verse Ch. 256) until the conclusion on Resurrection Sunday (Easter) March 31, 2013. According to the Pasadena Sun, The Bible ranked number one in overall ratings.

You may say, “I already know the stories in the Bible, why do I have to miss my XYZ show to see it again?” Don’t you know that people are talking about this new creation which you may have not seen? This telecast is an epic drama coming to your home-screen, fresh from the husband and wife creators Mark Burnet (“Survivor” and “Celebrity Apprentice” producer) and Roma Downey (“Touched by an Angel” star).

On Sunday, March 10th, the second two hour show will consist of the following: Joshua conquers Jericho; Delilah betrays Samson as the Israelites battle the Philistines; Samuel anoints David king, a move that could throw the nation into civil war; Saul is consumed with jealousy when David defeats Goliath; King David ushers in a golden age for Israel, but is soon seduced by power and lust for Bathsheba; God forgives David, and his son, Solomon, builds God’s temple in Jerusalem.

If you for some reason you can’t tune in on Sunday March 10th, you’ll be able to see it once again during the following dates and times: March 11, 2013 - 12:01-02:01 AM; March 13, 2013 - 09:00-11:02 PM; March 14, 2013 - 01:01-03:03 AM and March 17, 2013 - 06:00-08:00 PM.

If you attend Faith Christian Center in Jacksonville, Florida, and belong to a Small Group, there may be discussions about “The Bible” during your regular meetings. Don’t miss out.
