"The Bible" premiered on History channel tonight and it is all that everyone can talk about on social networks. On March 3, The Hollywood Reporter shared the critics thoughts on the new miniseries from Mark Burnett.
Allison Keene says that the show is a lot about the New Testament and she is afraid that this has been overdone on television already. She also said that it is not always true to scripture just part of the time, which of course is not a good thing.
Several other critics did not have good things to say about it including that it was rehashed and something we have seen before. Mark Burnett is known for great television, but they didn't feel like he delivered in this one.
Fans had the opposite reaction to "The Bible." Kate Gosselin went to her Twitter to talk about curling up in bed with all of her kids watching it. She said: "Watching The Bible on @History as a family--all 9 piled in my bed! Thank u @MarkBurnettTV for this wonderful visual for us to enjoy!"
