The Bible contradicts Ted Haggard's flock

Benny Hinn, Ken Ham, Kent Hovind, Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron, Ted Haggard, Pat Robertson, Jim Bakker, Peter Popoff, Mike Licona, Norman Geisler, Jonathan Sarfati and the pseudo-science Institute for Creation Research (ICR) need to admit that their Bible babble is flimsy. Why do so many church services resemble TV game shows instead of worship services?

Matthew 4:8 – “Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor.” This feat is only possible if the Earth was flat; from the summit of Mt. Everest, the opposite side of the spherical Earth would still be impossible to see.

Ecclesiastes 1:5 – “The Sun rises and the Sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises.” The Sun does not move like this at all.

Psalm 104:5 – “He set the Earth on its foundations; it can never be moved.” But the Earth is always moving, even its north and south poles wobble a little bit à la axial precession.

Joshua 10:12-13 – “On the day the LORD gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the LORD in the presence of Israel: ‘O sun, stand still over Gibeon, O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.’ So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the nation avenged itself on its enemies, as it is written in the Book of Jashar. The sun stopped in the middle of the sky and delayed going down about a full day.” Joshua was ignorant of the fact that the Sun is stationary for the Earth; it should have been the Earth doing the stopping, not the Sun. Copernicus and Galileo proved heliocentrism and disproved geocentrism. How come the Egyptian civilization never recorded the Sun and Moon stopping for a full day? Egyptian hieroglyphs have been translated via the Rosetta Stone (1799).

Numbers 31:17-18 – “Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.” Any god (Yahweh) that would command His people to kill children, murder innocent women, and rape girls is not a god worthy of worship.

Who is punished for sins? The Bible does not know.

Ezekiel 18:20 – “The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father.” The penalty of sin is placed upon only the sinner, not the descendants.

Exodus 20:5 – “I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sins of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me.” The penalty of sin affects four generations.

Lee Levine, a professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, writes, “There is no reference in Egyptian sources to Israel’s sojourn in that country, and the evidence that does exist is negligible and indirect.” Levine also wrote that excavations showed there had been no walls at Jericho. Thus, the Bible books of Exodus and Joshua are fiction. Evolution won and Young Earth Creationism (Intelligent Design) lost in Tammy Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District (2005). Dan Barker, Bart D. Ehrman, James C. VanderKam, and C. Dennis McKinsey are great sources about anything Christian. How Jesus Became Christian by Wilson Barrie is a should-read book.
