The Beverly Hills Hilton is a luxury hotel, and nightspot, usually reserved for the rich and famous. It is exclusive, because you will rub elbows with the stars. In fact, the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel hosts more than 175 high-profile broadcasts, award shows and charity events each year.

The Beverly Hills Hilton is located at 9876 Wilshire Boulevard, in Beverly Hills, California.

In addition to being the home of the Golden Globe Awards, The Beverly Hills Hilton houses some of the best dining places in Beverly Hills. It is located at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard. Unfortunately, its most famous nightclub, the Merv Griffin owned Coconut Club, is no longer.  Anyone who was fortunate enough to visit the Coconut Club knows: it was always packed full of celebrities, with Mr. Griffin himself, holding down the fort. Fortunately, the Beverly Hills Hilton is still a mecca for celebrities, and plays host to the top A-list special events.

First and foremost, The Golden Globe Awards continue to be held at the Beverly Hills Hilton, where these awards have been held since 1961. Every year, following the Golden Globes, numerous private A-list functions take place in the Beverly Hills Hilton.  Among other events, numerous Oscar and Grammy parties take place at this hotel.

A bit of trivia: the Beverly Hills Hilton is famous for something else.  It is where John Edwards was caught visiting his mistress.

In the old space of Trader Vic's, is Bar 210, and the ultra exclusive nightclub Plush.  Come early, because "ultra exclusive" means it is hard to get in.  You can telephone Bar 210/Plush at (310) 887-6000.

Although most of the events taking place in the Beverly Hills Hilton are invite only. One can mingle with celebrities while patronizing the Beverly Hills Hilton’s bars and restaurants. Circa 55 Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch; offering California cuisine in this retro, 1955-inspired, restaurant. Circa 55 boasts a comfortable resort-style atmosphere, overlooking the palm trees of the Aqua Star Pool.

The famous Trader Vic’s restaurant and lounge, is legendary. Known for its Polynesian-themed indoor/outdoor seating, Trader Vic's specializes in Island themed appetizer plates and exotic cocktails. In fact, this is where the original Mai Tai was invented, by Trader Vic himself in 1944. Trader Vic’s is now open poolside at The Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel.

The Lobby Bar overlooks the entrance of the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel, so you will not miss any of the celebrities, or senators, running by. The Lobby Bar offers freshly brewed Starbucks coffee, the latest news, wireless internet access, signature lunch selections, classic cocktails, and appetizers. Piano bar entertainment is offered Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 6pm to 10pm.

If you are just starting your night at the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel, there are several nightspots in close proximity. A short taxi drive away, (about $6.00,) will bring you in contact with the Polo Lounge, or some of the best sushi in Los Angeles, at Bond Street in the Thompson Hotel. Or, if you are ready to dance the night away, the same taxi driver can drop you off at Nic's Martini Lounge or Aqua Lounge.

Know before you go:
Bring money, and plenty of it, because even a well drink is made with premium liquor, and is at a premium price. The Beverly Hills Hilton is a luxury hotel, and there is nothing cheap about it. But you can always buy Starbucks coffee, (still pricey when compared to other coffee,) in The Lobby Bar of the Beverly Hills Hilton Hotel.
