For you ladies who love a great glass (or two) of wine, paired with incredible food, in the most fantastic venues, here is the event for you. The epic MidAtlantic Wine + Food Festival on May 14–18, 2014 in Delaware is the place to be. The Festival’s inaugural year included 42 events, chefs and winemakers from five continents, and attracted 4,328 ticketholders from 16 states and nine countries. The Festival gave many guests rare access to private homes, historic estates and world-class venues, including the Annie Jump Cannon House, Mt. Cuba Center, Oberod Estate, the Delaware Art Museum, and The Grand Opera House. This year, the Festival has sourced its visiting chefs from six continents. With 90+ international, national and regional chefs creating epicurean delights at 46 events over a 4-day period, you are sure to leave satisfied.

Some of the amazing dining experiences include:

I'll Have What She's Having Lunch Adventure

Experience one of the most inventive three-course meals of the Festival. Hari Cameron, chef-owner of a(MUSE.) is a James Beard nominee. His whimsically-named restaurant in Rehoboth Beach received the 2013 Delaware Restaurant of the Year award. He is known for using inspired techniques such as molecular gastronomy. Tongues will be wagging about this lunch, where Hari will meet a mystery chef...maybe Sally?

Winemakers Dinner: Women, Wine + Song

The famed Vance Kershner, opens his historic mansion near Rockford Park to the MidAtlantic Wine + Food Festival for a very special five-course winemakers dinner, featuring exclusively female chefs & winemakers, and a surprise musical guest!

5-Course Champagne Dinner

Guests at Drs. Laurie Jacobs and Barry Roseman's home may never want to leave. Spend some time in one of the largest wine cellars in Delaware, while enjoying a five-course dinner paired with five Champagnes.

Duck Creek Spirits + Game Dinner

Visit two architecturally-identical historic mansions as part of this dinner with spirits tasting. Start with a reception at “The J.R. Clements Mansion,” c. 1860, then walk two short blocks to the sister mansion, "Governor William Temple Mansion," for a five-course game dinner. The chefs will honor historic Smyrna’s one-time moniker, Duck Creek, with at least one course of duck.

Soft Shell Crab Nouveau Tasting

Only in this region do soft shell crabs appear on menus during the first full moon in May and they’re bringing them to you in the spirit of "le ... nouveau est arrivé!" (but with craft beers!). One international, one national, and one local chef will each offer one interpretation of soft shell crabs at three different tasting stations, each paired with craft beers. Buena Vista, the historic 19th century grand mansion, surrounded by acres of farmland, woodlands and landscaped grounds, is the setting for this event.

Interactive Sushi + Sake Lunch

Hosting Chefs Robert Wood and Yasuhiro Sano teach you how to roll your own sushi during this interactive lunch led by master sushi chefs and moderated by a sake expert.
