The Best Utah Winter Workout

A fellow athlete who has been away at college, doing full-time studies came back for a workout recently. Maybe 3 months away from traditional martial art training along with calisthenics and running a number of miles daily, found his fitness levels to not be too far off from being fit. During a martial workout in West Jordan, with 5 Style Martial-Art Self-Defense, where Sifu goes over everything and expects total participation from the students, the class found our fellow training partner to be fit. It didn’t seem to matter that he hadn’t trained for months with us. He revealed that during his college breaks, he headed for the slopes and did some Snowboarding.

Of course Utah has the best snow on earth and in the past weeks, we have been dumped on in grand measure. For the person, like the full-time college student who seemingly has no time to spare, getting on the snowy slopes with a board can fit into every movement of cross-training at any gym. Our fellow trainer described all the twisting, turning, bending and jumping he was doing on his Snow Board. Who said the dreary Utah smog and snog can force someone into a sedate life. Book work and computers, desktops, laptops and the like can’t keep you from enjoying some snow fun.

By-the-way, our fellow athlete explained that he hit the snowy sloped at night time during the week and weekend school breaks. He said that way the prices really were not that bad and the slopes were not so busy.
