The Best Toothbrush Ever!

Are you someone that really dislikes going to the dentist? Or even if those visits every six months are palatable, are your teeth sometimes sore for a day or two after the cleaning?  I have good teeth but as I get older I was starting to have receeding gums and a little more plaque.  I know that using an electric toothbrush is the ideal - but I don't.

Fast forward to a trip to NYC , where of course, I forgot my toothbrush.  I wandered into a natural market and found my now favorite toothbrush.  It's made by a company called Preserve.  Their company was launched in 1997 with the toothbrush and has now expanded into several product lines. Because of it's unique curved design, your teeth get much cleaner than a regular toothbrush.  My last 2 sixth month check-ups have been perfect because that curved handle allows you to easily reach all of the areas in your mouth.  I even told the dental hygenist about them - they had never heard of them!

Not only do you have a beautiful smile, but check this out - all of the brushes are made from recycled yogurt cups - like from our very own NH Stoneyfield Farms.  The company even has a program called Gimme5 which allows you to recycle all of those #5 plastic containers like yogurt, hummus, etc. that your local town can't take.  There are several drop off locations throughout the country (none in NH yet!) or you can save them up and mail them directly to the company.  What a great idea for kids to take part in!

You know how your dentist tells you to change out your toothbrush every 3 months?  The company even has an automatic delivery program - right to your door - so you don't have to think about it.  Sound expensive? How about $13.00 a year for 4 brushes?  They are also completely recyclable.

If you want to purchase them locally, you can find them at Nature's Green Grocer in Peterborough, all Hannafords, all Target stores, all Shaws Wild Harvest sections and at Trader Joes as well.

It's so exciting to find a product that is affordable, that does you and your family good and is good for our world as well.  Kudos to such a company.  Try them out and post your comments on this article and let me know what you think.
