While social media is a big way to promote your pet business or rescue group – with so many constant changes, new platforms emerging it can be hard to stay on top of and run your business at the same time!

Long Island Pet Professionals, LLC, (LIPP), happy to present our next networking event – ‘The Best Social Media platforms for your Pet Business & Rescue group.’ The event is taking place on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 7pm at the Huntington Hilton in Melville, NY.

Long Island Pet Professionals is delighted to bring you Richie Schwartz, our own social media guru and the owner of Pets Photography Studio. Richie will be giving a fun and in-depth presentation on the Best Social Media platforms for your Pet Business & Rescue and will cover the following: integrating social media into your pet business; Covering the big dogs: Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, Google+, and Youtube; What platform is best for your specific business goals; Which is best for engaging in customers; Best for sharing news about your company; Best for finding new clients; and the best for improving your search ranking and more!

“It’s funny because I like to tell everyone that I actually met Richie through Twitter, over 4 years ago. He then became a member of LIPP and has been to nearly every event since. He has so much knowledge about social media, nearly 30,000 followers on twitter, and emerges himself in so many platforms of social media, I couldn’t think of a better person for this seminar,” said Nancy Hassel, President and Founder of Long Island Pet Professionals, LLC. “So many pet professionals struggle with the best way to promote themselves, help keep their clientele informed via social media, and what I have noticed is to capture their own unique social media voices. Too many just do what everyone else is doing – you need to stand out in your business, and let that shine in your social media too. It’s not always about a million likes, but how you are engaging your audience. This is going to be a fantastic event!”

There will be plenty of networking while before and after Richie’s presentation attendees are encouraged to bring plenty of business cards. A buffet dinner will be served and there will be a cash bar. And as a special thank you for coming – we are delighted to have goody bags for each attendee too!

The cost for this networking event is $40.00 per person for official Members of Long Island Pet Professionals and $50.00 per person for Non-members. To RSVP for the event go to There is a limit of 30 people for the event and an RSVP is required ahead of time or there is an additional $10 at the door the night of the event.
