An easy way to get more vitamins in your diet is to take advantage of the available fruits and vegetables lined up for the taking at local farmers markets. You're sure to notice the abundance of varieties that spring up during the summer months and enhance any dinner table.
A favorite selection for most are tomatoes, and the season brings with it a wellknown favorite - heirlooms! An heirloom tomato is sweeter than regular garden tomatoes and is higher in vitamins A, C, K, potassium, fiber and lycopene. They're available in different shapes and sizes and add rich flavor to summer salads.
