Congratulations! Your family is growing! You have been living in the best area for couples and singles, but now you are ready for more of a community for your family. A neighborhood with kids around. A neighborhood that you feel comfortably letting your kids play outside. You want what you had, a safe, fun neighborhood with BBQ's, parades, events, and all of the things that make a family feel like they are part of a community. So where do you find that in Colorado? There are various areas that are perfect for families all around Colorado.

Broomfield
Located just outside of Boulder, Broomfield was created for families. With areas like Anthem, families flock to the new homes, two oversized recreation centers, 22 parks, ponds, fishing lake, picnic pavilion, outdoor amphitheater, ball fields, chili contest, 48 miles of interconnected trails, community events, pools, parks, schools and so much more. As the Anthem website says, "Two great communities. Two epic recreation centers. A waterpark with slides and splash zones. Dozens of residents-only events." You can't go wrong with Anthem if you are a family.

Highlands Ranch
On the other side of Denver, a great little suburb was created for those who work in Denver but want to live in more of a suburb with families and new homes. Highlands Ranch has 4 rec centers that all the residents can visit, their HOA covers membership to those. Parks are all over HR and good schools and kids are on every street. Families are drawn to HR for all of the amenities that are provided in and around the city as well as the proximity to DTC, Downtown Denver, Castle Rock and Colorado Springs. HR is also right next to the Light Rail, which can take families to Elitch Gardens, Downtown, Rockies Games, and much more! “Highlands Ranch is a 22,000-acre master-planned community founded in 1981. The community has a population of 93,000 people. Highlands Ranch is located 12 miles south of Denver in Douglas County and offers a wonderful quality of life and opportunities for an active lifestyle.” http://highlandsranch.org/

Stapleton
The location of the old Denver Airport has been turned into a magnificent suburban community within the city. Stapleton planners have thought of everything from movies, events, shopping, dining, schools, parks, four awesome pools, bike trails even a Whole Foods. There is so much more all packed into Stapleton. http://www.stapletondenver.com/

Louisville
Voted the best place to raise a family in the country, who could go wrong by moving your family to Lousiville? “The City of Louisville has often been recognized for its livability. Most recently, Money Magazine named Louisville #1 in 2009, and then in an unprecedented action again named Louisville #1 in its 2011 “Best Place to Live” issue. Many things contribute to this exemplary quality of life and positive economic condition including 1,700 acres of open space, dozens of great eateries, a thriving arts scene, great schools, wonderful neighborhoods and a diverse mix of employment opportunities. As the Money article noted, “Add in dry, clear weather, little crime, good health care, low taxes, and Louisville is pretty tough to beat.” Taken from http://www.LouisvilleCO.gov/VISITING/AboutLouisville/tabid/196/Default.aspx.

Whichever neighborhood you choose for your family in Colorado, will be awesome because you always have a view of the magnificent mountains, the fantastic blue sky, the wonderful weather and all of the fantastic things that Colorado has to offer.
