If that’s not incentive enough, your ticket will include fajitas (meat and vegetarian), chips and guacamole, dessert and margaritas. There will be pop-culture trivia and the opportunity to meet other amazing animal lovers. All the proceeds will directly benefit the animals and Felines & Canines.

When: Sunday May 4, 2014, 1PM-3PM

Where: Trader Todd’s, 3216 N Sheffield in Chicago

Ticket Price: $20.00 – (purchase tickets here)

Felines & Canines was originally founded in 1977 as Felines Inc.; a not for profit, cage-free, no kill cat shelter. Until January of 2012 they operated as a cat-only shelter, caring for and finding forever homes for the some 130 cats that called their two story house home at any given time. They recently renovated the facility in order to care for up to 200 cats and kittens and add a wing to house approximately 20 dogs and puppies – officially becoming Felines & Canines!

Their mission always has been, and will continue to be: “providing a safe and loving shelter to abandoned, injured, abused and neglected animals until their permanent adoptive home is found. We strengthen the human/animal relationship through counseling, education, and compassion”

The goal of Felines & Canines is to find the right forever home for their dog and cat residents. Adoption counselors work closely with potential adopters to find to find the perfect animal for them. All animals are examined by a veterinarian, spayed or neutered and vaccinated.
