9 Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still;
teach the righteous and they will add to their learning. 10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”(Proverbs 9:9-10)
School is back in session. Parents and students are getting prepared. School supplies, clothing, and necessities are being purchased. Encouragement is being given to set the pace for learning and great school year. Teachers have prepared their curriculum to increase their pupils with knowledge and understanding on their subjects. All of these areas are a part of assisting the learning process and with getting a good education.
God is a proponent of education. He believes in getting an understanding to appropriate in applying to one’s life. Wisdom is the education system of God. It is obtained by having a right heart toward God. The Holy Bible states, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.”(Proverbs 9:10) Fears mean reverence and respect for God who is all powerful, all knowing, and always present everywhere.
How does one gain the learning to obtain wisdom? The Bible states to ask God for it. He gives wisdom. Also, His word, the Scriptures, is wisdom and gives answers to various questions concerning life, relationships, money, etc. It gives specific ways to relate to God and people. Instructions are given on how to think, speak, and act righteously. The Holy Bible, the Christian curriculum that is a necessity for every believer in Jesus Christ.
How does one prepare to learn or gain wisdom? Humility of the heart is a place to start. Humility asks for what is needed and gets the desired result. It is the opposite of pride that is independent, focused on self, and resists learning from God or others. One must cast down pride and be ready to receive the truth as God tells them. The Holy Spirit brings knowledge through revelation and is a helper to getting wisdom that is best education for a successful Godly life.
