The Beatles ruled the online charts their first day on iTunes

It was crazy all over again Tuesday like it was on 9/9/09. The hints Monday night, then waking up Tuesday and seeing the Beatles on iTunes was a mindblower. The Beatles were in the spotlight, a trending topic and the subject of all sorts of questions. We're going to address a few things here.

BACKSTORY: One of the first questions that came to mind was how EMI and Apple settled their differences. Antony Bruno of Billboard.biz reported it was thanks to a high priority effort between Apple Corps CEO Jeff Jones and EMI's Roger Faxon, head of the label's recorded music. It's must reading.

WASHINGTON COLISEUM: If you've checked out iTunes, you know that it is streaming the Beatles' Washington Coliseum concert until the end of the year. (You can get it by buying the box set.) If you think you've seen it before, check again. This version appears to be a closed circuit version. The intro is longer than usual versions. And according to the introduction, it's the entire concert. Sounds great, too. Hopefully, the Beatle brain trust has this one planned for DVD release. If not, they should.

You should also note that Amazon.com is selling the remastered CDs for just $7.99!(I guess to cash in/compete) The Beatles have taken over the Amazon charts as well. If anyone needs Xmas gifts, Amazon is the place to go.

My feelings are that this won't last for long, most people already have these Cd already, I give it to New Years before it all fizzles out...But I'm sure for EMI it was great while it lasted.

Now show me something that I haven't already seen.
