The Band Perry, Dierks Bentley to headline ACM Party for a Cause Festival

ENCINO, Calif., February 21, 2013 - The Band Perry and Dierks Bentley will headline this year's ACM Party for a Cause Festival, the organization announced this afternoon. Leading up to the 48th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, the two-day outdoor festival, set for April 5-6, 2013, will be an essential event during The Week Vegas Goes Country®. The musical lineup will highlight some of Country music's biggest and brightest stars, including several ACM Awards nominees, all in honor of raising funds and awareness for a variety of charities. According to the official press release, "donations on behalf of Big Machine Label Group, General Mills and ACM Lifting Lives® will be made to the charities represented during this celebratory weekend for fans."

Joining The Band Perry on Friday's lineup (April 5), sponsored by Outnumber Hunger, will be Greg Bates, Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore, Cassadee Pope and Florida Georgia Line. Bentley will headline on Saturday, April 6, with opening acts Lee Brice, Kix Brooks, Hunter Hayes, Dustin Lynch, Eli Young Band and Love and Theft leading the charge.

“Party for a Cause Festival is adding another layer to the ACM experience for fans to celebrate country music, as well as learn more about these very deserving organizations. The Academy has a long history of supporting charitable causes, and we’re honored to be partnering with Big Machine Label Group and these talented artists for such a worthy endeavor,” says Bob Romeo, CEO of The Academy of Country Music.

Outnumber Hunger is an initiative created by General Mills, Big Machine Label Group and Feeding America. It helps assist in fighting hunger in local communities by securing meals at local food banks. Concert goers will even have a chance at giving back with special on-site activities. Brooks will host the event on Saturday, which will include a presentation on charitable donations to the military-inspired non-profit organizations Wounded Warrior Project®, Folds of Honor and Nellis Air Force Base Youth Education Programs.
