May 29 marks the anniversary of the Ascension of Baha'u'llah who is the founder of the Baha'i Faith.
It is fascinating that in attempting to be all things to all peoples and all things to all theologies the Baha'i Faith attempts, even with regards to the Ascension of Baha'u'llah, to employ terminology that borrows from, and appeals to, Christianity—Baha'u'llah is supposed to be the return of Christ, the Second Coming of Christ.
Yet, as with all of their attempts at (pseudo) syncretism they miss the mark as with reference to Jesus, His ascension refers to Jesus literally ascending into heaven, from the Earth, after His physical resurrection. On the other hand the Ascension of Baha'u'llah means that he died.
Baha'u'llah died on 1892 AD after some time of being ill in a mansion just outside of Akka aka Acre in northern Israel.
The ultimate goal of the Baha'i Faith is to establish a one world religion, one world government, one world currency, one world language and essentially a one world whatever you can imagine making one world—weights, measures, literature, etc.
