Fame comes with a price and that is something “The Bachelorette” Andi Dorfman is learning firsthand as rumors of pregnancy swirl around her. E! Online reported on June 27 that Dorfman took issue with a report that she was pregnant following the show’s infamous Fantasy Suite overnight dates.
The report appeared on In Touch Weekly with a story titled, “A Baby for Andi.” The story implied that Andi could be pregnant after allegedly ‘Hooking up” with 2 out of the 3 overnight date partners. Dorfman used her Twitter account on Friday to set things straight.
"I love learning from a 'magazine' that I am 'pregnant.' Too bad my cramps didn't get the memo :("
The article cited a source who said, "I'm convinced she's pregnant." There seems to be no sign of the article on the site now. The article was also cited in a report on Gossip Cop before disappearing from cyberspace.
An alleged friend of Dorman’s was cited in the article as saying that “She and [the winner] are inseparable and he’s very protective of her.” Being inseparable does not, however, indicate a pregnancy.
In a recent expose’ by former “Bachelor” contestant Courtney Robertson, Robertson claims the show’s producers do not leave condoms in the Fantasy Suite. In theory, any woman engaging in sex on the overnight dates could wind up pregnant, if Robertson’s allegations are to be believed.
There has been no confirmation that Andi did have sex with any of the men on those overnight dates. Nor is there any other proof that she is pregnant beyond this one “source.”
Hopefully, this is the worst it gets for Andi as she finishes up her stint as “The Bachelorette.” There are stories in the media about her and the person who wins the competition for her heart signing on to do the next season of “Dancing with the Stars.” Rumor has it they will compete against one another. Now there’s a show that likes to create a little drama between its competing couples. Hopefully Andi and her man are on a solid foundation by the time filming starts.
