Last week rumors emerged about “The Bachelor” Andi Dorfman‘s next gig being on ABC’s dance competition show, “Dancing with the Stars” with her beaus from the the dating series. Now rumors are emerging that she’s in contention for one of the spots on ABC’s “The View” According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry on June 29, the 28-year-old former assistant district attorney could be replacing either Jenny McCarthy or Sherri Shepherd on the talk show.
McCarthy was recently fired from the show and Shepherd bowed out when her contract negotiations didn’t work out. The show needs to fill those two spots with someone who will draw in the audience, and fast.
The opinionated lawyer would certainly be feisty addition to the show. Fans of “The Bachelor” will remember her now famous stint as one of the competitors seeking to win the heart of last season’s Juan Pablo Galavis. That is, she was seeking a relationship until she’d had enough of his inappropriate behavior and told him off.
The source used for this story claims a ‘source’ stated, “Andi has already been rumored to be moving to Hollywood. Could she be heading to the city of stars to co-host The View?” This casts doubt on the validity of the report because “The View” is filmed in New York. Even if Dorfman is moving to Hollywood and would be willing to make the commute back and forth, it seems unlikely.
While the perky brunette might actually have something to say on a variety of subjects and may even add a level of intellect to the show that McCarthy’s presence lacked, the producers of “The View” are not likely to risk the ratings of the show on a reality star with no proven following or TV news anchor experience.
We think Andi would make a fun addition to the show. What do you think? Would “The Bachelorette” Andi Dorfman make a good member of “The View’s” cast?
