'The Bachelor' with Dallas native Sean Lowe premieres on ABC (Video)

On Jan. 7, 2013, Sean Lowe, the Dallas, Tex. man who had his heart broken by Emily Maynard on ABC’s “The Bachelorette,” returns to the network to try and find love as “The Bachelor.”

Lowe will be introduced to 25 lucky ladies who will then vie for his attention, his heart, his love—and potentially, his hand in marriage.

According DallasNews.com, Lowe is the “perfect male specimen,” due to his modesty, forgiving nature, his sense of humor, and the fact he’s ready to settle down with the right woman.

The website notes he describes himself as “…genuine… a good guy who wants the simple things in life: a good family, children and to support and provide for my wife.”

He noted that he's been approached by women on the street for a photograph who are shaking with anxiety, but he tries to calm their nerves, telling them he’s just a “normal guy… I’m not Brad Pitt or anything.”

The Bachelor” season premiere airs on ABC at 8 p.m. ET.
