Mon. Jan. 7, 2013, was a long awaited day for the women of the world that are in love with Sean Lowe. The sweetheart businessman who won viewers over during Emily Maynard’s season officially made a return to the set last night. This time, it is Mr. Lowe that gets to do the picking and choosing.
On this season premiere of ‘The Bachelor,’ viewers had the chance to see a little bit of everything. From a drunk bride, to a ’50 Shades of Grey' superfan, to an awkward back-flip that failed miserably.
First things first though. As if we didn’t already know how incredible Sean Lowe is, we had to be reminded of it before we could meet his potential ladies. Then Arie, who was also one of the final suitors on Emily’s season came to talk with him. Sean revealed to him how he will be doing the roses. Aries spoke about eye contact, and kissing, and on and on.
Okay, time to meet the ladies. First impressions always matter….especially on 'The Bachelor.'
Jackie chose to be daring and give Sean a big ole kiss on the cheek, leaving the red lipstick mark. Of course Selma then comes along and pulls out a handkerchief that she just happened to have on hand. Kelly from Nashville used her entertaining skills to sing a song. Ashley, an obsessed ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ fan was simply a mess from the very beginning.
Poor Robyn’s backflip was a back-fire. Then came Tierra, who showed Sean her incomplete heart tattoo on her ring finger, and hopes that he will be the one to complete it. Apparently her half a heart tattoo didn’t freak Sean out, because he goes inside and gets her a…..rose. That’s right. Take note ladies. Indirectly asking a man to put a ring on your finger the first time you meet him is the way to his heart.
Okay moving on. Lesley's entrance was sure to get Sean’s attention as she brought along a football for a playful first meeting. Next up, was Lindsay. Oh, so much to say about this girl. She arrived in a wedding dress AND kissed him smack on the lips. Her entrance blew Tierra's ring finger heart tattoo out of the water. Nothing screams aggression and desperation like a wedding dress and a 'kiss your bride' first meeting, now does it?
Sean thought he had met all of his bachelorette hopefuls, but he was wrong. Sweetheart Kacie B. from Ben’s season arrived separately. As you might have guessed, this is when the cattiness began. The other women didn’t share Sean’s enthusiasm about Kacie being a part of this season.
After chatting with Desiree, Sean handed out a second rose. The other ladies were nearing their breaking points as Sean was already unintentionally playing with their heads in episode one. Though the women wonder what is going on, Sean reveals that he wanted to hand out roses to any ladies he felt a connection with during their alone time.
Bride Lindsay 'seemingly' makes an even worse impression during their alone time, as she is completely drunk during it. ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ girl Ashley is also drunk, and dancing in front of the bachelor in a beyond classless manner. Sean gives bachelorette Sarah assurance that he isn’t bothered by the fact that she was born with one arm, and gives her a rose.
At the rose ceremony, tensions are high as Sean begins handing out roses to some of the women that he didn’t give them to earlier. As every season goes though, several went away empty-handed.
Not surprisingly Kacie B. was among those who earned herself a rose, while ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ who Sean said was ‘fifty shades of drunk’ was sent packing.
The surprise of the night? He kept drunken bride Lindsay! What does this episode teach the females of the world? Be completely aggressive and tell a guy straight up that you want to marry him on the first night you meet him, but make sure that you’re drunk while doing it, and he will keep you around. At least that is the case for now.
Final list of women eliminated in episode 1? Ashley H, Ashley P, Kelly Dutton, Keriann Miranda, Lacey Latka, Lauren Marchetti, and Paige Vigil.
Next week should be extra interesting, so you will definitely want to stay tuned.
Who is your favorite lady at this time? Who do you think Sean should send home? Any early predictions on who will be the final lady standing?
