Sean Lowe of ABC's popular reality show "The Bachelor" offered to give away his sperm so another couple could start a family. According to Radar Online on Feb. 28, Sean had offered to give his sperm to a surrogate to help his older sister Shay and her husband have a baby.
Sean has hid his family infertility drama from the finalists on this season's "The Bachelor", but family is everything to Sean, and he was determined to help his sister. After six expensive, unsuccessful and heartbreaking intrauterine inseminations for more than a year, Shay and her husband Andrew Shull were devastated over the struggle to become pregnant.
Sean was also devastated, revealed an insider. Family is everything to Sean and having kids is a big part of family. However, with each passing month, Sean was disappointed to learn that Shay still was not pregnant. But just when Shay and Andrew were discussing adopting as a way to bring a child into their lives, Sean came up with the idea to donate his sperm to a surrogate so their baby could have some of the family genes.
Sean was ready to make the offer to his sister when she announced that she had finally became pregnant. Since that announcement, Shay and her husband has successfully had two children, one boy and one girl. Shay thanked Jesus twice on her blog stating that after struggling for so long with infertility and taking a lot of infertility drugs, she was able to have two babies on her own without drugs and without trying so hard.
In other Sean Lowe news, on this season of "The Bachelor", Sean has finally narrowed down his choice to two final women after nine weeks of dating. At the rose ceremony, Sean first calls up Lindsay and then after a long pause, calls up Catherine, sending AshLee home in fury. AshLee's only words to Sean were "All right," as she pushed him out of the way to board the van. Sean said that was the toughest decision he's had to make on the show so far.
