'The Bachelor's' Sean and Catherine plan televised wedding

"The Bachelor" Sean Lowe proposed to Catherine Giudici on the episode that aired on ABC Television Network on Monday, March 11, 2013. On the following day, March 12, the happy couple talked to columnists on a conference call arranged by ABC. Sean and Catherine discussed, among other things, their plans for their wedding.

In the "After the Final Rose" special that followed the season finale of "The Bachelor," Sean announced that they would marry in a televised ceremony and implied it would be soon. Since viewers got to watch the romance progress on television, it does seem only fair to share the happy union.

The date has not been determined, according to Sean, who explained, "I don't know, we haven't planned a date and part of having a TV wedding means you have to kind of partner up with the network and figure out the perfect time. So a lot is still in the air but once we figure it out we will be sure to let everybody know."

Sean went on to state that it seemed fitting to share the wedding on television. "Yes, I mean we thought it was only fitting. Our relationship started and it was formed on TV and the world has had the chance to watch it, be cultivated on TV and you know we think it would be a special thing to have it televised and everyone associated with the show we've grown very close to and, you know, they would obviously produce the wedding as well. So I think it would be fun and it would be nice and it would be really cool to enjoy that experience with all of our friends and family."

Host Chris Harrison officiated at the wedding of Ashley Hebert and J.P., but it does not look like he will officiate for Sean and Catherine, because Sean has family members who are ordained ministers. Sean stated, "I doubt Chris will be officiating only because, you know, my dad is an ordained minister, my grandfather is a minister, there is a lot of ministers in line that might supersede Chris Harrison."

Catherine said that her dad would be at the wedding and would be part of the ceremony, stating, "Absolutely. He will be walking me down the aisle. My dad, I love him so much. And, you know, I've - I said a lot of personal things on the show. And I just wanted to reiterate the fact that he is such a part of my life and I love him so much, and I'm excited for him to be part of the wedding."

When asked if he had decided who would be in his wedding party, Sean responded that he had not decided yet.

Catherine has already chosen her maid of honor, the friend who signed her up for the romance show. Catherine said, "I have already told my maid of honor that she will be holding that very great position. Crista Osher has been - she was the one that signed me up for the show. She found my prince charming. And she's been so supportive and such a lady this whole time. I've been really blessed to have her in my life."

One person who probably not be invited is Emily Maynard, who rejected Sean during her season on "The Bachelorette." When asked about Emily, Sean responded, " I think the world of Emily; and I want nothing but good things for her. But I don't know if it would be the most appropriate thing to have her at the wedding."

Sean and Catherine will be staying in Los Angeles while he trains and films for ABC's "Dancing with the Stars." During Sean's off-time, the couple can enjoy going out on dates and exploring the city. Bachelor Sean Lowe joins cast of Dancing with the Stars
