“The Bachelor” 2013 season with Sean Lowe (29) is in full effect. As expected, the 26 bachelorettes were catty, trash talking, and coming up with the most ridiculous ways to get the attention of Emily Maynard’s almost fiancé.
Sean Lowe’s premiere rose ceremony had interesting twists as to how the first impression roses were handed out. The first shocker of the night was when Sean gave Tierra the first rose of the night after she literally spoke once sentence to him – cue the jealousy.
Upcoming episode scenes from season 17 highlight tension between the bachelorette contestants and Tierra as she shows two different sides to her personality, one to the girls and one to Sean, much like Courtney Robertson from Ben Flajnik’s season as “The Bachelor”.
Another surprise was Kacie B.’s return (from Ben Flajnik’s season). Sean seemed happy to see her.
Before the ladies drive up in the limo, Sean invited a friend, race car driver Arie Luyendyk, Jr on how exactly to dump his bachelorettes when needed. Arie was his competition during his time on “The Bachelorette” when he fell in love with Emily. The Charlotte single mom chose Jef Holm instead.
Arie even gave him tips on how to have perfect kisses with the bachelorettes contestants, since, of course, Jef Holm’s former fiancé Emily was always raving about what a good kisser he was.
After the kissing and dating tips session , fans met the 25 bachelorettes. Initial meetings included wacky songs, booty dancing with a tie, a pretend football play (aimed at a chance to stare at Sean’s booty rather than his abs for a change) and of course, one woman went all out and wore a white wedding dress claiming she was a big ‘prankster’.
Incidentally, this same bride gets drunk later in the evening and presses Sean for a kiss, which she doesn’t get.
Who was sent home after all of these quirky attempts to get “The Bachelor” Sean Lowe’s attention? Here's the list of who was eliminated at the end of the premiere rose ceremony:
- Ashley H. – the “Southern Bell”
- Ashley P. – could not stop talking about “50 Shades of Grey”, obsessed with a tie she enjoys hiding in her boobs, and loves booty dancing.
- Kelly – sang to song as soon as she got out of the limo.
- Keriann – made a road trip out of it and ended without a rose.
- Lacey – thought it was a good idea to give Sean Lowe a piece of lace.
- Lauren – mentioned her family owned an Italian restaurant where she would love to feed Sean.
- Paige – a former “Bachelor Pad” contestant who was voted off right away, one of the first “Super Fan” contestants.
How do you think “The Bachelor” 2013, Sean Lowe handled his duty as the man with 19 roses to hand out? Do you think he made the right choice in leaving Kacie B. around for a second run at love?

It seems like bachelorette recycling has been popular past few seasons of “The Bachelor”. Last season, fans saw funeral director Shawntell Newton, who was on both Brad Womack’s season and later returned on Ben Flajnik’s season. Admit it, for a second there, you totally thought she was back again.
