Juan Pablo Galavis might have shocked America by not proposing to one of the ladies on The Bachelor, but it is famous jewelry designer Neil Lane who might be surprised most of all. After a lengthy decision, the contestant actually picked out a 3.5-carat diamond engagement ring for a proposal prior to his final decision. According to People Magazine on Tuesday, the jeweler actually talked with Juan Pablo and thought there would be a proposal on the show.

Why? According to Neil Lane, Juan Pablo was ready to propose to the lady of his dreams. In fact the two spent time together looking over the rings and discussing the cuts available from Neil Lane Jewelers. Apparently Juan Pablo was serious in getting a custom ring made from the jeweler and even got personal assistance from Neil Lane. As everyone in Hollywood knows, it’s not easy to get face time with this famous jeweler so there had to be something special about the decision of helping Juan.

While the 3.5-carat diamond looks stunning, it apparently didn't make it to any finger as nobody was chosen on Monday night. Who has this ring now? Worth quite a bit of money, this beautiful diamond is currently in the possession of The Bachelor show and everyone assumes that Juan Pablo won’t be able to have it unless he proposes to one of the women on the show.
