'The Bachelor' host defends Vienna Girardi against new allegations

Vienna may be "gentle" and "loving" after all.

Vienna Girardi has been a talking point on "The Bachelor" this season, but host Chris Harrison is standing by the contestant in spite of a recent report that she used $5,000 of her ex's savings for plastic surgery while he was deployed in Iraq.

"[Vienna] is not a villain," Harrison said to Us Magazine Wednesday, likely in response to their recent cover story about the contestant. "She is really not. She is a sweet girl. Jake [Pavelka] loves her, I love her. She just rubs the women the wrong way."

Harrison went on the say that Vienna was "gentle" and "loving" whenever she was around Jake, and that it may not necessarily be fair for us to judge her simply because she acts aggressive in "The Bachelor" house: "she loves Jake and that's it."

Should we take Harrison's remarks as evidence that Vienna wins? Not necessarily; we have to take editing into consideration, and the edit for Vienna on this season doesn't necessarily suggest that she is right for Jake Pavelka. That said, the two have also had remarkable chemistry over the course of the past few weeks. (After all, he did take her to his room during Monday's episode after she tried to visit him in bed earlier.)

Do you think Vienna is a "villain," or is she misunderstood? Let me know your thoughts and stay tuned for more "Bachelor" news.

Think Chris Harrison is defending Vienna to help deflect from the fact that the show didn't vet this person completely; a CYA step so Jake doesn't besmirch the show when Vienna takes him to the cleaners!

I vote for villain! When you don't get along with other women, there's a reason!!

I think the villain is Ali. That girl is so immature. Vienna is just trying to win the love of the man she loves. She's not being mean to these girls. They've just done what girls are want to do, pick on the girl who is different. I'm not saying I adore Vienna; but, the more Ali and the others pick on her, the more I root for her.

Vienna's dad was so creepy!! At least Ali has some class!! I think he's going to go for the Vienna. Seems like RS is right again. If he is...bummmer. Blech. Would be a bad choice for sure.
