'The Bachelor' highlight: Vienna meets Jake's family (episode eight)

Vienna met Jake's family for the first time on episode eight of "The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love" March 1, 2010. At first, things seemed to be falling apart, and it looked like the family was never going to be comfortable with Vienna as part of their family, should she be the one for Jake. But by the end, Vienna had captured their hearts and convinced them that she cared about Jake more than anyone will ever understand.

Vienna was really nervous about meeting Jake's family, and she had a reason to be. Jake had already spilled the beans that Vienna was the most hated woman in the house. She was trying to hide that fact, though. She was open about it, laughed about it and thought nothing about it. Jake's family wasn't thrilled with her in the first few minutes.

Vienna was also open about how blunt she was. Jake's sister-in-law felt she was confrontational, and Jake's mother didn't think she was really connecting with the family. Lunch was quiet and awkward, and Vienna just seemed overly nervous and seemed like she was showing off a little.

Jake's mother, Sallie, was bothered about her not being able to get along with other girls. She didn't see it as a good sign. Jake tried to explain it away, but Sallie was really worried that she would cause problems with Jake's sister-in-laws and eventually with Jake. She was up front with Jake that she sort of didn't see Vienna and him working out.

Vienna tried to turn the family's dislike in to like by explaining that Jake has told her she brings out really good things in him. Things went back down hill, though, when the topic of Vienna's lack of girlfriends came up. The sister-in-laws were not impressed. Her answer about how she knows he is the one brought it all back up in the air, thankfully. She said she can't stop thinking about him and could see herself with him for the rest of her life.

Just like Vienna was open with the family, Sallie was open with Vienna. She told her she was nervous about the fact that she didn't get along with the other women in the house because she needs for Jake's wife to get along with her daughter-in-laws. Vienna just tried to explain to Sallie that she was there for Jake 100 percent and couldn't imagine not being with him.
