The Bachelor Ben Flajnik has made a few questionable moves during season 18 of the reality TV dating show. When he eliminated Jennifer, the bright red-head, many were left wondering what was going through his mind. This rose ceremony shock came after Emily had decided to use her alone time with Ben, not just once, but twice to go on a anti-Courtney rant. In the most recent episode that aired on Monday, February 6, 2012, Miami fans saw Ben get rid of Blakely (remember her from the lesbian cream puff?) after she poured her heart out to him during their two on one date with Rachael.
Despite Rachael’s apparent lack of ability to communicate her feelings, Ben decided to keep her. Interestingly, Ben has been preaching open communication since day one. Formerly a Hooters girl, Blakely knew how to both show off her body and speak her mind. So what is Ben’s story? Does he want an open heart and mind, or is he leaning more towards open blouses and boobs as in the case of Courtney who has already flashed her boobs during skinny dipping and then during the group’s visit to Panama?

Dating relationships are founded on many things, including chemistry. Ben and Courtney appear to share some strange sort of physical chemistry. This is a good way to start things. But when you are home alone at the end of a long work week trying to relax, will this chemistry carry you through the tough day? Or will having a solid friendship help you stick together. Being able to communicate and share intelligent, or at least remotely interesting conversation, are some basic cornerstones of healthy intimate relationships.
Don’t misunderstand; connecting at the physical level is essential as well. But the package deal is usually what will make for a lasting dating relationship and ultimately lasting marriage which is what everyone on The Bachelor is reportedly looking for.
