Arie Luyendyk Jr is not “The Bachelor 2015,” despite the passionate pleas from fans. As Reality Steve spoiled a while back, Chris Soules will be getting the gig. Arie broke the news via Twitter. On Monday.
Though Chris Soules had been the frontrunner for some time now, things were shaken up a bit over the course of the past month or so when it came out that those behind the show were also considering Arie Luyendyk Jr. There was a lot of intense campaigning, but Reality Steve's spoilers recently dished out the news regarding the final decision. He revealed that Chris Soules, the “farmer” from Andi Dorfman's season of “The Bachelorette,” had signed a contract and has already done some early filming.
Fans didn't want to believe it though, and many held out hope for Arie from Emily Maynard's season of "The Bachelorette." However, Monday Arie tweeted, “I'm not the Bachelor, have fun on the farm people.” Though Mike Fleiss has teased via Twitter he'll be confirming “The Bachelor 2015” soon, it looks like Arie already let the cat out of the bag. Some might say it sounds a bit bitter, others might say he sounds hurt, and surely many would say he's joking and just sharing the news.
Granted most would imagine that the show and network intended to release that news, but now Arie's tweet most definitely confirms Reality Steve's spoilers. While Arie Luyendyk Jr.'s fans are quite disappointed he won't be handing out roses, Chris Soules' fans of course are thrilled. Filming should start mid-September with a January 2015 premiere date. What do you think of Chris Soules as ABC's “The Bachelor 2015”?
