The Bachelorette” aired the fantasy suite episode last night and fans saw Iowa native Chris Soules leave broken hearted. His departure took place while on a date with Andi Dorfman in the Dominican Republic. Reality Steve took to his Twitter Monday night to reveal that he has been certain, before the season even aired, that Chris would be the next “Bachelor.”

Chris was rejected by Andi during their date to eliminate any further false hope for him that he would be her final choice. She told him it wasn’t fair to make him wait for the rose ceremony when she knew the feelings just weren’t there for her. Chris, being the standup guy he has portrayed this season, tried to reassure her that he was fine. He told her he respected her honesty and didn’t want to be there if she didn’t love him.

While reading some of the responses to Steve’s prediction, it seemed there were mixed emotions from fans. Some tweeted how perfect Chris is and others replied with some negativity. The official Twitter for “The Bachelorette” posted a photo last night that shows many seem to be cheering on Chris to be the next “Bachelor.” The tweeted picture lists a top trending topic last night was #ChrisForBachelor.

Fans of the franchise will have to wait to discover if Reality Steve is right once again! “The Bachelor” is usually announced during “After the Final Rose.” This year’s announcement could go down a little differently. “Bachelor in Paradise” will begin airing August 4 so the show may decide to make the announcement a little later during that season.

The Bachelor” will not begin filming until in the fall and will not air until in January 2015 so the show still has some time to wrap up arrangements. Would you be happy with Chris as the next “Bachelor?” Who would you like to see, if not Chris, handing out roses next season? In the meantime fans can finish up watching “The Bachelorette” on ABC Monday nights. The season finale will air in two weeks.
