‘The Bachelor’ 2014 spoilers week 7: a self-elimination, Juan Pablo cries, Miami

Week 7 of “The Bachelor” visited Juan Pablo’s hometown of Miami where the 6 remaining gals partied in the city where the heat is on all night long and our hunky Venezuelan surprisingly had his heart crushed when contestant eliminated herself. On Feb. Wetpaint reported on how fantasy dates and tears helped make up week 7 of “The Bachelor 2014.”

First One-On-One Date

The first one-on-one date was with Sharleen Joynt whom Juan Pablo charmingly thought was into him. They spent their date on a private yacht and then a private island where they spent most of their time making out. He kept nibbling on her lip while she kept sending him mixed signals about her interest that he totally missed out on.

Second One-On-One Date

Nikki Ferrell got the second one-on-one date which shouldn’t a surprise to anyone. What was a surprise is that Juan Pablo introduced her to his daughter Camilla. A little foreshadowing perhaps? After a rather tepid reception from Camilla, Nikki got to meet the Juan Pablo’s gorgeous baby mama, Carla Rodriguez. Awkward! Nikki’s reward for this? A quaint picnic at a sporting stadium where JP ‘works’ where the 2 of them spent some time playfully kicking around some balls. They definitely had way more chemistry than JP and Sharleen.

Group Date

The remaining 4 ladies, Renee Oteri, Andi Dorfman, Chelsie Webster, and Clare Crawley got to visit a private island with Juan Pablo where they took turns making out with the bachelor in a desperate effort to convince him each was the girl of his dreams and win the group date rose. Andi won the contest because of her feel fest with the guy. After getting the rose, the two spent the remainder of the date dancing while the other 3 ladies headed back to the house to sulk.

The Self Elimination

After his day of fun in the sun, Sharleen Joyner tapped on Juan Pablo’s door. She had big news. After weeks of tormenting herself (and us), she finally told him that she just didn’t see their relationship going anywhere. He was confused because he somehow thought she was really into him. They embraced, both sobbing, and parted as friends. At last!

The Rose Ceremony

With Sharleen’s self-elimination, our bachelor had to eliminate only 1 girl in week 7. This should be an easy task, no? Apparently not, because Juan Pablo had a complete meltdown when he eliminated Chelsie. So much so in fact, he was compelled to wander off by himself for a bot to regain his composure.

Next Week on “The Bachelor”

It’s time for the inevitable Hometown Dates. “The Bachelor” will air on back to back nights, Feb. 24 and 25 as Juan Pablo visits the hometowns of Clare, Renee, Nikki and Andi. Then the 3 ladies who make to the finals will visit St. Lucia for Fantasy Suite Dates.

“The Bachelor” airs on Mondays on ABC.
