This week “The Bachelor” 2014 will take us and the contestants on the Hometown Dates during episode 8 and this year it looks as if the families aren’t too thrilled with the guest of honor, Juan Pablo. On Feb. 21, International Business Times shared a little preview of what fans of the show will see when the hunky Venezuelan visits the 4 girls’ hometowns.
Nikki – Kansas City, MO
The 32-year-old dad visited Nikki’s hometown of Kansas City, Mo. JP will get the tour of town and a chance to demonstrate his cowboy skills on a mechanical bull. Seeing how comfortable he is in her world, Nikki’s feelings deepen but she has trouble communicating that to him. Her family seems to approve of Juan Pablo so we shall see where this leads.
The single dad then travels to Atlanta to checkout Andi’s hometown. They visit a shooting range for a little target practice before Juan Pablo gets to meet her family and is himself the target of a particularly rough encounter. Andi’s dad “peppers him in a blunt cross examination” which will leave many wondering if this relationship stands a chance.
Next, Juan Pablo visits Renee in her hometown of Sarasota, Fla. Here, he will see where Renee lives and get to meet her 8-year-old son, Ben. They bond over their shared connection as single parents as they watch Ben’s Little League game before he meets her parents.
The last stop on the tour of hometowns is in Sacramento, California where Juan Pablo will share a “rare, intimate moment of vulnerability and sensitivity,” as she shares heartbreaking memories of her late father.” Things take a tense turn when he meets the family and one of them disapproves of the relationship.
They 4 women and Juan Pablo will then return to Miami where the bachelor will have to make a difficult decision – which woman to cut from the roster. The remaining three will travel with him to St. Lucian for the Fantasy Suite dates. Who do you think will have their heart broken?
ABC will air the Hometown Dates in a special two-night event starting on Monday, Feb. 24, and continuing on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
