The Bachelor” 2014 aired an all new episode Monday night in which Juan Pablo Galavis got to date his ladies in New Zealand. One of the biggest shocks of the night occurred when Juan Pablo sent Cassandra home two days prior to the rose ceremony and on her birthday! Juan Pablo went to Twitter on Feb. 10 to let fans know that he did not know it was her birthday until later on that night.

Juan Pablo further explained what happened on his People blog posted on Feb. 11. He says that it was a hard decision to make and he knew she was missing her son terribly. He couldn’t see letting her wait two more days for the rose ceremony when he knew already the connection with her was not that strong. Juan Pablo states he felt awful when he was informed it was her birthday, but later felt better knowing she could now spend her special day with her son. Juan Pablo has always said honesty was important to him.

Last night’s rose ceremony brought the remaining number of girls down to six! The group heads to Miami in next week’s episode.

New episodes of “The Bachelor” can be seen Monday nights on ABC at 7 P.M. CST.
