“The Bachelor” season 17, episode six aired on Feb. 5. For the second one-on-one date of the week, Sean Lowe selected bachelorette Desiree (AKA Des) to go rappel down a mountain with him in Banff National Park, Canada. Sean blogged about his romantic date with Des on Feb. 6 via People.
If you were able to watch the show, you could see Sean and Desiree really get along well.
After they made it down the 400 descent, Sean and Des enjoyed a nice picnic in the meadow nearby. At one point, Des challenges Sean to climb the tree behind them. They get right up and start climbing the tree.
This part of their one-one-one day was very playful and showed a growing friendship between the “Bachelor” Sean Lowe and his bachelorette Desiree.
In the evening, Sean and Desiree had a romantic dinner under the stars in a teepee. Here, Desiree confessed truths about her childhood. Des explained she group up moving around a lot due to her parent’s financial struggles.
Sean shares his feelings on the date he shared with Des in a blog article:
“That evening we had dinner in the coolest teepee, tucked away in a forest of the Canadian Rockies. She opened up to me about her childhood and how growing up with very little money has made her who she is today. It made perfect sense to me after hearing her story why Des sometimes hides her true feelings behind a smile.”
“She probably had to put on a brave face during tough times as a kid. I found myself wanting to be the man that supports her and makes her feel safe. Des and I finished the evening kissing and making finger puppets on the walls of our teepee. Once again, she was at the top of my list.”
During the final moments of their date, Sean commented in a camera interview:
"I could see myself proposing to Des."
